Microblogs are thriving because in the real world brevity rules. Peoples know how to communicate in small blocks of text . They can be sent from keyboards or from mobile phones to dedicated text numbers where they instantly appear on web-based microblogs. In fact, people can pull microblog content directly on your phone as text messages.

I remember some years back mobile companies in india was giving free sms service at the time when talking on cellphone wasn’t cheap and in those times sms became a part of life of so many peoples. the next thing was the gmail status messages they weren’t publicly stored and accessible in future but still they were popular.
I was never into writing diaries , because I don’t have a good writing and editing something you write is always painful when you write on a physical media. the microblogging services will be like good old diaries for few peoples. I wonder how will it feel like for people when they will read their own twits written some years back .
